Streamline Moderne
This tie from de Casi Fashions probably dates from the resurgence of narrow widths for ties in the wake of punk and new wave, i.e. the 1980s. The material is highly-reflective silver and copper silk, woven into an engaging, mildly industrial pattern in the style of late-deco "Streamline Moderne".

That is really gorgeous! Burl, I have been enjoying your blog so much for the last several months. You have great taste in ties. I am a tie junkie myself but not for the traditional usage of them. I transform ties into hats and bags. (If you want to see www.rumpelsilkskin.com)
Thanks for posting all the beautiful wearable art!
